Activates your device’s GPS to determine your observing position. Required for accurate altitude/azimuth readings.
Switches between manual control of the sky map and automatic device‑tracking mode. In AUTO, the map follows your phone’s orientation; in MANUAL, you drag and zoom the sky by hand.
Turns on your device’s orientation sensors so the sky map rotates with your physical movement.
Shows or hides constellation lines on the sky map.
Displays star names, constellation names, and key sky markers.
Shows the Sun’s apparent path across the sky — useful for tracking planets.
Displays the celestial equator, aligned with Earth’s rotational axis.
Draws your local horizon line to help you understand what is above or below view.
Returns the sky map to its default orientation and zoom level.
Note: To use the GPS function, your browser must have Location permissions enabled. This is set inside your browser’s own settings menu (for example, under “Site permissions” on Android and “Website settings” on iOS). In addition, Location Services must be turned on in your phone’s main Privacy & Security settings for the browser to access your position.
