Shower max: X_max=X₀·ln(E/E_c), X₀=36.7 g/cm², E_c=87 MeV.

- Muons — from π±/K± decay; penetrate to ground via relativistic time dilation
- Hadrons — p, n, π± driving shower growth
- X_max — altitude of shower max; composition-sensitive
- Surface Array — Cherenkov/scintillator tanks; samples lateral distribution
- Fluorescence — UV telescope images N₂ excitation along shower track
- Underground Muon — muon count below rock; discriminates composition
